Rachael & Ryan’s Wedding

Mimosas and bagels, what a great start to any wedding day! The weather was great considering storms were in the forecast all week and the turnout of friends and family was phenomenal. Moonlight Ridge in Grand Island, NE was the beautiful location for Rachael & Ryan’s wedding and reception on June 7, 2014.

The morning started with hair and makeup at Indulge Salon & Spa. The stylists did an amazing job on the hair and keeping us on schedule. The flower girl had a blast trying to empty the gumball dispenser while no one was watching. She very quickly had more than a handful of gumballs and was very proud of her loot.

I don’t know where the girls got their nails done the day before but they were all chipping and bubbling. In the downtime they tried to repair/redo them so they at least looked presentable. Once everyone was finished at the salon we all headed to Moonlight Ridge to eat lunch and start getting ready.

The guys arrived shortly after the girls and started setting up the chairs for the ceremony. Once the chairs were all setup they headed to Ryan’s parents’ house to get ready. We got started on the pre-ceremony pictures a little late but moved quickly and got everyone in place to start the ceremony. As Rachael came into view approaching the altar, Ryan’s face lit up with excitement seeing his bride for the first time! The ceremony went as good as could be expected…they both said ‘I do.’ and the weather cooperated greatly.

After the ceremony we finished up the group pictures and did some more with just the bridal party. When we were finished with pictures the bridal party made their entrance to the reception to get the party started. All of the guests were having a great time and the food was excellent! At the end of the night all of the guests were given sparklers so they could line up along the sidewalk to send off the newlyweds! They left the location in a restored Ford F100 pickup (same one that was in some of their engagement pictures) and everyone watched as the tiny red tail lights faded in to the night.

Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day, I had a wonderful time capturing your memories!
